USPS Avoid Negative Press from Postal Increases by Protecting the Average Consumer

For the average consumer, the new increased Postal Rates set to begin April 17th are of little importance, but for those who provide USPS with much of their business through marketing and business related mailings, the impact will be significant. By maintaining the price of full pay stamps and protecting the average consumer, USPS nearly eliminated any press surrounding the rate increase of 1.741%. Although this number is down from the original proposal of a 5.6% increase in September of 2010, the effects of the increased rates will be far reaching.
